What Happens When You Come to Romania With Open Hands

Over the years, we’ve welcomed many people to our corner of Southern Romania. We’ve hosted students, families, missionaries, and friends of the ministry from dozens of countries around the world.

Some came for a week. Some stayed longer. All came with open hearts and left with something unexpected.

They came to serve. But most of them left changed.

Earlier this summer, a team of students from Torchbearers joined us for one unforgettable week. They helped with children’s programs, street evangelism, and practical projects, including the restoration of Mamaie Lenuta’s kitchen. Their hands worked hard, yes, but it was their presence that left the deepest impression.

At the end of July, we’ll welcome a family from Switzerland, eager to continue what was started. Each visit feels like a thread in the larger tapestry of what God is weaving here, across cultures, across languages, across seasons.

People often ask what’s required to come.

The truth is: you don’t need a special skill. Just a servant’s heart.

Whether you’re painting a room, helping with crafts, encouraging a local mother, or simply sitting with someone over tea, your presence matters.

For us, hosting visitors is not just about what gets done. We’ve seen how a single trip can change the course of someone’s calling. We've also seen how deeply it encourages our community to know they are not forgotten.

So if you’ve ever felt that nudge to “go,” consider this your invitation.

Come and see.
Come pray with us.
Come work beside us.
Come witness the quiet, beautiful ways God is moving here in Romania.

We’d love to welcome you.
