What Happens After the Games Are Over?
On June 1st, our little corner of Romania was filled with laughter!
To celebrate International Children’s Day, we hosted a special event just for the children in our village. We spent an afternoon of games, contests, music, and joy. The children came early, full of anticipation, and threw themselves wholeheartedly into every activity. We prepared a series of time-based contests, encouraging not just competition but cooperation, enthusiasm, and fun.
After each game, they received a small prize. And at the end of the day, they each went home with one more special treat in honor of their day.
But what we really gave them and what we pray they carry is something deeper: the love of Jesus.
It may seem like a simple event. But for many of these children, it was a rare experience of being celebrated, seen, and surrounded by joy that didn’t come at a cost. And in the midst of it all, they heard the name of Jesus spoken in love, laughter, and song.
These moments are more than play. They are formation.
Because what happens after the games are over? The Gospel’s seed is planted in their hearts.
We’re deeply grateful to all who helped make this day possible. And we hope, by God’s grace, to host more of these joyful days where the Gospel is preached!
If you believe, like we do, that children need more than just screen time (yes, screens are a problem even in rural Romania!), that they need joy, formation, and the quiet work of the Gospel, would you consider helping us continue this ministry?
Will you prayerfully join us?
You can help us impact hundreds of children by sponsoring a full outreach event for local children, from supplies and snacks to the little prizes that make them feel celebrated. Your generosity turns ordinary afternoons into lasting encounters with God’s love.
